In an interview published in April 2002 with Prestige, a luxury lifestyle magazine, Singapore-born Indian entrepreneur, Kannappan Chettiar, then a successful edupreneur, boldly declared his intention to become “like Thomas Edison…and invent something in the next 20 years…”. At the time, Chettiar did not anticipate that this personal challenge would take him on an arduous life journey of failures and discoveries.

Almost on cue twenty years after, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) grants Chettiar a patent for his invention in “Energy Storage System and Method to Improve Battery Performance based on Battery Connections”.
